Training is designed to familiarize workers with OSHA standards and educate them on how to recognize, avoid, abate, and prevent safety and health hazards in the workplace. Topics include: an Introduction to OSHA Standards, walking and working surfaces, fall protection, PPE, exit routes, emergency action plans, fire protection, and more. Course duration for OSHA 10-Hour General Industry is 10.5 hours, courses run 8am-4:30pm day one and 9am-12pm day two. Students may choose to receive a H2S/Respiratory Protection Awareness certification by attending an additional hour of training between 8am-9am on day two of the course.   Please note: A student may cancel or transfer registration at least one (1) business day prior to class start, unless otherwise stated for a specific class. After this time a processing fee equal to 10% of the class cost will be incurred. Eligible refunds will be issued through the same method that payment was made. Payments made by cash will have eligible refunds issued by check. Standard check processing make take up to 3 weeks.  No refunds or transfers will be issued if TrainND is notified after class start.

OSHA 511 – Occupational Safety & Health Standards for General Industry This course covers the OSHA regulations, procedures and OSHA511 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry, as well as general industry safety and health principles. Students will be spending time going through OSHA standards and learning how to look up and work with OSHA standards. Students will conclude the class with a test on their knowledge and familiarity of general industry OSHA standards. This class is a prerequisite to the OSHA 501 Trainer Course. Course sponsored by Mountain West OSHA Education Center with TrainND serving as a host organization.
